Day tour – Duration: 3 hours – Length: 8,5 km – Level: Easy

Self-guided bike tour in the city of Bergen, where our local guide shows you the historical part of the city. We start the bike adventure in the city center, adjusting the bike to you. We will bike north along the seaside, where our first stop will be at the Norwegian Fishery museum. Here you will take a close look at Norway’s oldest industry, and get to taste Bergen’s oldest export commodity, stock fish. Stock fish is actually Norway’s longest sustained export commodity, started with the Vikings. Bergen had for almost 800 years the monopoly of trading stock fish.

The tour continues to Old Bergen Museum, beautiful outdoor museum with authentic houses form the 1800 century when Bergen was Europe’s largest city of wooden houses. After this we will have an uphill, walk with the bikes is optional, up to the mountain road “Fjellveien”. In Fjellveien we will have a nature experience with great views of the city picture stops, before trundle back to the city and Bryggen for more history of fish trade on the location on UNESCO’s list of world heritage.
